The goal of New Zealand Aged Care Association is to promote choice in health care for all New Zealanders, and to ensure members continue to provide excellence in care at all levels. Aged residential care providers in New Zealand deliver services to over 33,000 older New Zealanders and their families every year. The third annual HCPNZ/INsite Excellence in Care Awards are being held during
Conference at Christchurch Convention Centre 7 - 9 September 2009. New Zealand Aged Care Association created these awards in 2007 to award for Excellence in Aged Residential Care. These awards recognise the continuous pursuit of excellence by aged residential care facilities and their staff.
The goal of the awards is to showcase the many good things the sector does to improve the quality of care for residents, how we interact with the community, and what new things we do in workforce training and development.
The awards recognised those facilities that have made innovations in order to continuously improve services to residents. The success of all applications will be judged on the improved outcomes for residents and their families.
