Maggie Owens is the Acting Chief Operating Officer for Bupa New Zealand and is part of the Executive Leadership team that runs Bupa Villages and Care in Australasia – a portfolio of 121 care facilities, eight rehabilitation sites and 35 retirement villages.
Maggie is a registered nurse involved in the retirement industry since 1990 in management positions in the Bay of Plenty and Auckland and is the Past President of the Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand. Maggie also represents Bupa on the Retirement Living Council in Australia and the New South Wales Executive Committee.
Maggie has significant Board experience recently stepping down from chairing the Catholic Caring Foundation for seven years and has a further seven years experience on primary and secondary school Boards of Trustees – four years as Chairperson.
Maggie has a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Massey University.
