This year’s annual conference will now be held at the TSB Arena in Wellington over two days, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November.

The new conference theme is Aged care in a pandemic world.

At this year’s conference we will be exploring what that future may look like. The global pandemic has been contained in New Zealand, but COVID-19 has not disappeared. Keynote speakers will discuss how we eliminated COVID-19, what kind of leadership we needed and what the future economy may look like. Rest homes are on the frontline when there is an outbreak such as influenza or a SARS virus.

The workshop sessions on Day 1 and Day 2 will explore what we learned, how we are adapting, and how we can be best prepared to respond to any future outbreaks.

We are working quickly to compile a compelling programme and will update members as this comes together.

The 2020 Wellington conference will run over two days, including a two day trade exhibition. The annual awards will again be a highlight of the conference and will be held on the evening of the first day.

It has been a hugely challenging few months but our conference in November presents a real opportunity to reunite, share experiences from Covid-19, and also celebrate the great job that the sector has done in managing the pandemic.

All enquiries for delegate and trade registrations as well as sponsorship opportunities should be made to June Murugan, NZACA Events and Marketing Specialist at june@nzaca.org.nz
