We are a powerful advocate, working to ensure this important sector gets the recognition and support it needs to provide excellent care for New Zealand’s older people.
The more members and support the NZACA has, the stronger our collective voice and the more influence we have.
- We lobby government to shape policies and create an environment that helps our members provide outstanding quality care.
- We provide leadership on issues that impact on the success of our members, including the sector’s defence of the Equal Pay Case currently before the courts.
- We produce valuable research, professional development opportunities, information and publications to help our members make informed business decisions, improve capability and keep them up to date with sector developments and initiatives.
- We deliver an exciting annual conference, trade exhibition and awards programme, providing members with access to new ideas, information, networking events and a forum to discuss challenges and opportunities.
NZACA has an influential Board representing our diverse membership. The NZACA Board of Directors consists of seven elected representatives (one for each voting region and a chairperson), four large operator representatives and one appointed member. All Board Members are providers in aged residential care homes. The Chairman is Simon O’Dowd.
